Winter is here! It is getting colder but do not let the cold stop you from continuing with your exercises! Here are some tips on how to improve your exercise routine on a cold day:Warm up! Stretch those calf and arm muscles and do some light exercises for 5-10 mins to reduce the risk of injuries.

2. Wear appropriate clothes! The trick is to dress in layers. Wear comfortable clothing underneath and layer it with insulating outer clothing. This way, you can remove some layers when you feel hot from exercising rather than overdress and suffer from dampness after exercise.
3. Drink up! This might sound obvious but it is easy to overlook this as you may not sweat as much on a cold day. Make sure you drink some water at the end of each exercise to stay hydrated.
4. Exercise indoors! This is an excellent time change up your routin!? Go to a gym or work out in your lounge. Remember to always consult a professional (personal trainer, exercise physiologist or physiotherapist) if you are not sure of what to do.
